Sell, Sell, Sell Those Cash Raffle Tickets!!!
On a beautiful, sunny fall day, 17 Rotarians and 1 guest met at The Lexington Golf Club with Dan Olsen presiding. The Temperature was 52 Degree Fahrenheit or 11.111111 Celsius
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Meaghan Murphy, Verse of America was led by President Dan Olsen. PP Jack Maloney cited the invocation, the welcome song was started by President Dan Olsen.
The food was fantastic as usual, with Pasta, Meatballs, Fried Chicken, Brussel Sprouts, Salad, Fruit and of course delicious cookies.
Our President Dan O. called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone attending.
Fines and Happy Dollars
- Past President Michelle Galbiati gave Happy Dollars for her Birthday (Happy Birthday Michelle) and thanked everyone who helped at the Veterans Breakfast on the weekend.
- President Dan O. gave Happy Dollars to say thank you for everyone who attended the Veterans breakfast and particularly for one veteran who is 98 years young and drove himself to the breakfast.
- Past President Dan Busa gave Happy Dollars for missing the Veterans Breakfast as he was still unpacking.
- Past President Spencer gave Happy Dollars
- James Ellis gave happy dollars for missing the veterans breakfast as he was away in Curacao and for missing last weeks meeting.
- Past President Jim Shaw gave happy dollars preparing everyone for the “Toys for Tots” give-a-way coming next Month.
- Meghan Murphy gave happy dollars and tried to get Alan fined for taking money from our visitor Mike Mason. No fine was giving, but Mike did joke that he would sing at next week’s meeting. We are looking forward to this😉.
Announcements
- Past President Dan B explained that Amazon is dropping us due to a technical "violation" of their usage rules, therefore when you purchase something from Amazon this year no donation will be made to Rotary. We lose approx. $107.00 (based on last years income) due to this situation but, we will make this up another way by not having to pay the annual fee for the Group Ahead app wich cost us approx. $350.00 per year. PP Dan also wanted the group to be aware that even though we are losing the “Group Ahead” app ClubRunner has one that is pretty handy. - Cleve Coats explained that there are 44 Raffle tickets left. Please give your ticket stubs and payments to Cleve C.
- The group spoke about Charlie, that he is fine and at home now.
- There will be no meeting November 11th and 18th, but there will be a Joint meeting with Burlington, 11/22/2019, 12:15 PM, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 5 Wheeler Rd, Burlington, MA 01803
