  • Friday May 10th Comedy night; we need volunteers to sell raffle tickets and door registration.
  • Scholarship Lunch on 5/13 please respond to the invite if you haven’t already. Jim Freehling to sit with the scholarship recipients and their guests; 14 students will attend, 1 attending on 5/20.
  • Discovery Day: volunteers needed to sell hats + 3 cases of spinners to give away.

Subject: The longest Day, Lexington Goes Purple. On 6/9 at 11:00am Purple Puppy Promenade; at noon at the Depot: coloring book project, origami- make 1,000 cranes to make a wish, musical performance by Lexington Chamber Society. At 1:00 at Brookhaven bridge tournament with prizes.  At 3:00pm purple ice-cream.
Notes: 5.8 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s; numbers are expected to grow. Every 65 seconds someone develop the disease. Caregivers invest 18.5 billion unpaid hours and $234 billion are paid caregivers.
There is no treatment to prevent, slowdown or cure the disease. The association needs volunteers.
