Assistant District Governor Amy Luckiewicz Fills Us In on Polar Plunge and Upcoming Events

 
 
 
On a warm, sunny late winter day, 12 Rotarians and 1 guest met at the Lexington Golf Club with PP Lori presiding.
 
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by PP Don M., Verse of America was led by Bob Cunningham. , PP Domenic cited the invocation, the welcome song was by PSA Charlie V..The food was fantastic as usual, consisting of sausages with peppers, sandwiches, salad, vegetables, and deserts.
 
Our PP Lori. led the meeting to order and welcomed everyone attending.
 
Fines and Happy Dollars
 
PP Dan B. gave Happy Dollars for being happy to babysit his grandson.
 
PP Domenic gave money for his fine of being enthusiastic with his
 ad-lib of the invocation which was out of order and because no one else gave money.
 
 
 
 
Announcements
 
PP Lori announced several topics:
  • On March 16th we will meet at our usual time at Minuteman High School at the “Paul Revere Room.”
  • On April 13th, we will have a joint meeting with “The Rotary Club of Concord” at Minuteman High School.
  • On Patriots Day weekend volunteers are needed to pick up the Sand for Seniors buckets.
  • On Monday March 20th we will be at our yearly Patriots Day event. Schedules will be sent to all members soon.
  • On May 15th Comedy Night will take place at “The Knights of Columbus”. Tickets are still available at $65.00 each or a table of  10 for $600.00. Anyone interested in placing an ad is encouraged to do so. Please submit everything no later than 3 weeks prior to Comedy Night. Auction items are also requested.

Speaker
Our speaker was Assistant District Governor Amy Luckiewicz. In her usual enthusiastic self, she gave us information on several Rotary events.
 
Pints for Polio will take place at:
Granite Coast Brewing on Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 12 PM-7 PM.
All bartender tips will be donated to The Rotary Foundation’s End Polio campaign. Invite your friends, family, colleagues and clients to join you for a pint and end polio! Granite Coast is family and dog friendly. Bring your own food to the brewery! Tip your bartender well and help inch closer to a polio-free world! Each $1 raised will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation! You’re welcome to bring in your own food.

On April 5th at 5 PM at Granite Coast Brewing two Police Officers visiting from Canterbury Cathedral England, will discuss drug free communities. During her trip to England Assistant District Governor Amy meet at Canterbury Cathedral and collaborated with officials to discuss and learn how to eradicate and help with the drug epidemic. All are welcome to meet and join in.
